The Leolux news at IMM 2018

Last week, Leolux was at the IMM 2018, the international furniture exhibition in Cologne. We can look back at a very successful edition and of course we cannot wait to tell you all the news!

Premiering in Cologne is the Elias sofa series. A real showpiece for the interior, available in three sizes. Elias is a Christian Werner design and features a generous seating depth, with the addition of back cushions which follow the soft lines of the back. The ‘Black Chrome’ legs are a sublime detail, as is its artisan finish.

This year, Leolux worked with the Italian designer Gino Carollo for the first time. And that immediately produced a very strong design statement: the Lloyd swivel chair. Robust yet inviting: that’s the best description of this new Leolux lounge chair. Lloyd is characterised by its powerful form, which is reinforced by its stylish piping finish.

As with so many Leolux models, Lloyd can be customised to suit your style. For example, you can have the inside and outside upholstered in different materials and even choose the perfect colour for the leg and ornamental stitching.

Edward van Vliet collection

Besides the gorgeous stand design, Edward van Vliet also designed some new products for Leolux. The Mizu rug series is a great example. The combination of softness in the background and the hard, graphic lines in the foreground creates tension and contrast. These closely woven, vintage-look patterned rugs are made of 100% wool.

The Capri footstool, which seems to float on its concealed wheels, is unmistakably one of Edward’s creations. Just look at the stylish details. And finally, the Prismo tables will now also be available with a glass top.

Expansion Bellice programme

At the last IMM, we introduced our new Bellice sofa programme. Thanks to its almost endless possibilities, the programme was very well received. This year, we are adding even more options to this extensive series. For example, we are introducing a number of extra wide sofas, a footstool and a longchair.

At the exhibition, you also saw the Coda table series, designed by Pascal Bosetti. The coffee table and occasional table in this series both have a transparent wire frame and a table top with a raised edge. But both variants are just a bit different. Particularly when you take advantage of the many colour options.

Kalia, Columna, Volare and Cosy Cushions

With respect to materials, we introduce Fenix for the top of our Kalia table. This so-called nanotech material is both beautiful and practical in use because superficial scratches can be wiped away with a special sponge. The Columna table is also available with a new ceramic top, there are two new Cosy Cushions and to mark its 20th birthday, Volare has a new castor cup in the colour of the frame.

So that’s all the news so far from IMM in Cologne

We will naturally keep you informed when all the news finds its way to your dealers’ showrooms!
