[there’s a secret under the leaf] You can enlarge this oval table by simply sliding the leaves apart. The extension leaves are located in the compartment beneath the top leaf. You press on them, the leaves come up and you fold them out. That’s it. Calbuco stands on a foot of epoxied steel and a column in veneer or lacquer. At its lowest point (the storage compartment) Calbuco is 67 cm high, so most dining chairs can be pushed up to it normally. Available in walnut, oak or cherry veneer, lacquer or (Metallic) Brush. The texture of the extension leaf is square to that of the top leaves. A colour difference between the top leaf and the stored leaves will develop over the course of the years.

Table leaf + cylinder: American walnut (M2100), oak (Leolux stain colours), cherry (M 2100), lacquer, brush or metallic brush. The cylinder is the same colour as the leaf. For a Calbuco in Brush, the cylinder is supplied in the same colour, but without the caracteristic structure.

Standard Epoxy E1200, optional other Leolux lacquers and epoxy colours.

Details
Calbuco is an oval dining-room table with extendable leaves that are hidden in a flat tray beneath the table leaf. Thanks to a synchronous mechanism, both leaves open out at the same time. The extendable leaves are then visible. By pressing lightly on them they rise slowly. They can then be opened out. Two breakes beneath the storage tray fix the leaves in the open or closed position. The height of the extendable leaves can be adjusted by the Leolux-partner or costumer.
The leaf edges are bevelled. The edges of the leaves in cherry or walnut are finished in black MDF. The edges of the leaves in oak are finished in natural MDF. The height of the intermediate leaves can be adjusted, if necessary, by the dealer or customer.
The column (supporting the leaf) is also available in colours differing from that of the leaf. The Calbuco table leaf is 67 cm high at the lowest point. The structure of the extendable leaves is at right angles to the upper leaves.
